The organizers invite everyone to the May celebrations: Gmina Miejska Bolesławiec, 23. Śląski Pułk Artylerii, Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury-Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki, the Parish of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, and the Youth Council of the City.
On Friday, May 2, for the fifth consecutive year, the flag will be ceremonially raised on the flagpole in the Market Square at noon. The event will be enhanced by the 23. Śląska Brygada Artylerii.
On Saturday, May 3, at 11:30 a.m., a solemn Mass for the homeland will be celebrated at the Church of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Zamkowy Square, with the participation of the Honor Guard Company of the 23. Śląski Pułk Artylerii and the “Bolesławiec” Municipal Brass Band.
In the afternoon, at 2:00 p.m., the “May Festival with Folklore” concert will take place at the Forum cinema. In the first part of the concert, children from the “Bolesławiec” Song and Dance Ensemble will perform. They will dance national dances—the kujawiak, polonaise, and mazur—and sing old Polish folk songs: “Hey, in Kraków’s Market Square,” “The Last Mazur,” and “Little Red Apple.” The Gminny Zespół Pieśni i Tańca “Jutrzenka” will perform next. Admission is free.
