By the pond on Bankowa Street in Bolesławiec, a female swan is incubating eggs. Her mate is with her. Unfortunately, the pair chose a spot almost right beside the park walkway, which is attracting considerable interest from passers-by, especially children attending nearby schools. Excessive attention is not good for the female swan, so please do not approach the temporary fence in order not to disturb the swans.
Swans have become a permanent feature of this part of the city’s landscape. In fact, for years—with short breaks, as these are migratory birds—they have been an inseparable element of Bolesławiec’s park grounds. This pair arrived here two years ago, and it appears to have acclimatized to our city.
