Additionally, this year participants in the artistic textile studio, led by Teresa Olszewska-Bancewicz, will present their work for the first time. She is a versatile artist working in painting, drawing, monotype and collage. Drawing on many years of experience, the artist created her own technique for working with artistic textiles, which she called “rafi” in Greek (meaning “stitch”). Her studio presented colourful batiks with interesting themes at the exhibition. Their subjects included landscapes, sunsets, still lifes, flowers and figurative motifs.

The deputy mayor, Kornel Filipowicz, who attended the ceremony, admired the talent of the residents of Bolesławiec participating in the classes. Children and young people studying in Wojda-Pytlińska’s studio presented exceptionally colourful works rich in subject matter. Young people from Magdalena Konieczna’s studio prepared a variety of stained-glass works. The two ceramics studios run by Edyta Orlińska and Mateusz Grobelny presented bas-reliefs, large artistic forms and smaller figurines demonstrating various techniques and approaches to clay as a material.

The 4xP exhibition series has become a permanent fixture in the BOK-MCC cultural events calendar. Each edition enjoys tremendous popularity, and visitors are always full of praise for the talent of the young artists. The exhibition can be viewed until May 4.
