In the Polish Regional Cup semifinal, played on April 9, BKS Bobrzanie’s senior team defeated Karkonosze Jelenia Góra 3–2 (1–0). BKS scored the first goal in the first half. In the 27th minute, after a Karkonosze defender handled the ball, the referee awarded a penalty. The effective taker was Piotr Dzięgleski, making it 1–0. In the 50th minute, the visitors were already leading 2–0. Emanuel Ohagwu set up Piotr Dzięgleski with a pass, and he gave the Karkonosze goalkeeper no chance. In the 56th minute, it was already 3–0. This time, Dariusz Bryjak got his name on the scoresheet.
No one needs convincing that Karkonosze always fight to the end. In the 70th minute, the hosts won a penalty, which Marcin Pacan converted. Four minutes later, the Jelenia Góra players scored a goal to reduce the deficit. Łukasz Kowalski was the scorer, making it 3–2 for BKS. In the final minutes, Karkonosze tried to score another goal, but the Bolesławiec side did not let their victory slip away. BKS deservedly won. Particularly in the first half, Paweł Żmudziński’s players dominated and created more scoring opportunities than their opponents. All that remains is to hope that the match against Karkonosze was a “wake-up call” for our players and that league matches will be played with equal effectiveness and commitment.
