Until April 5, the Copper Museum in Legnica hosted “Divisions of Light,” an exhibition by Bolesławiec artist Magdalena Olga Konieczna. Alongside stained glass, the renowned artist presented glass mosaics and batiks. More information on the Museum’s website.

Magdalena Olga Konieczna. A Bolesławiec native and graduate of the Janusz Korczak Secondary School No. 2. She completed her master’s degree in 1999 at the Faculty of Art of the Higher School of Pedagogy in Częstochowa. From 2000 to 2002, she studied journalism and public relations at the University of Wrocław. In 2010, she completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław.

Since 2000, she has worked in Bolesławiec as an art educator for children and young people. Professionally, she is associated with the Youth Cultural Centre in Bolesławiec (Printmaking Studio) and the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre (Glass and Stained-Glass Studio). She also cooperates with other cultural and educational institutions. Her students have won numerous art competitions, and the results of her educational work have been highly rated by experts.

In addition to teaching, she mainly works in applied graphics, painting and stained glass. She experiments by combining various artistic techniques and materials. She has presented her work at exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
