A fortunate draw after another poor performance—that is how BKS’s game against Olimpia Kowary on Saturday can be summed up. In the first half, the visitors threatened the BKS goal several times but could not find the net even when only the goalkeeper stood in their way. Sebastian Szujewski missed two excellent chances. BKS had its opportunity in the 20th minute. After Piotr Dzięgleski’s cross, Daniel Ziółkowski headed toward the Olimpia goal, but the shot was too weak to surprise the goalkeeper. In the 35th minute, the referee awarded a penalty for a foul by Bartek Błoński. Tobiasz Kuźniewski stepped up to take it, making it 1–0 to the visitors. That was also the score at halftime.
In the second half, the Bolesławiec players tried to equalize. Unfortunately, as in the previous two matches, they lacked ideas, accuracy and shots on target. The greatest threat to the visitors came from Michał Błoński’s throw-ins into the penalty area. And it was after one such throw-in, in the 85th minute, that Marek Milczarek tried to head the ball clear, deceiving and ultimately beating his own goalkeeper. BKS drew 1–1 with Olimpia Kowary. The Bolesławiec team will play its next match this coming Wednesday, April 9, in Jelenia Góra. At 6:00 p.m., BKS will face Karkonosze in the Polish Regional Cup semifinal.
