Volunteers called up for short-term training before voluntary professional military service were assigned to subunits of the logistics battalion, mainly the repair company and the supply company. Alongside professional soldiers, they took part in the battalion's scheduled training at the Tactical Exercise Area (PCT) in Pstrążu.

During the first, very rainy week, NSR soldiers, under the watchful eye of the repair company commander, Captain Sławomir Siemianowski, practiced procedures primarily involving the disassembly and assembly of weapons, the use of the PChR-54M chemical contamination measuring device, putting on the MP-5 gas mask and CBRN defense (protection against weapons of mass destruction).

The following week began with tactical and logistics training. “During these exercises, the soldiers operated equipment while marching to the deployment area and also practiced activities involved in setting up logistics elements in defense,” said Captain Siemianowski. “Among other things, the soldiers deployed and folded up repair workshops, practiced camouflage and security procedures, responded to air and chemical alarms, and protected the command post and the Damaged Equipment Collection Point (PZUS).”

The engineering and sapper exercises held on March 26 at the Tactical Exercise Area generated the most excitement during the entire training. Their purpose was to repel a simulated attack on the battalion's entrenched positions. Each soldier was tasked with digging a trench for himself and the equipment for which he was responsible. A flare fired over the site signaled the start of the simulated attack. Despite their prior training and awareness that the attack was not real, many candidates for professional service became temporarily disoriented. Loose helmet straps and entrenching tools abandoned around the trenches clearly showed that even a simulated attack is stressful for an inexperienced soldier. Efficient command and the experience of senior officers brought the chaos under control in a short time, and the training ended successfully.

The NSR rotation exercise concluded with live-fire training, during which the soldiers completed training firing exercise No. 1 with the Beryl carbine and the wz. 98 submachine gun.

Soldiers who earned the most points during the training and received positive evaluations from their superiors may apply for professional service. Among the soldiers training in March alongside the logistics battalion's soldiers, the following stood out: Sergeant Paweł Kosowski, Corporal Łukasz Rysiak, Private Artur Kozina, Private Wojciech Wojtczak, Private Grzegorz Korybski and Private Janusz Jaros. These volunteers stood before the entire brigade, assembled on the parade ground on Monday morning, and received letters of commendation and recognition awards from the commander of the 10BKPanc, Colonel Dariusz Nawrocki. These candidates for professional service have a chance to join the ranks of the Świętoszów unit.
