The “Women” exhibition was opened by Ewa Lijewska-Małachowska, director of the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre – International Ceramic Centre, together with the artist, Zygmunt Grocholski.
The “Women” exhibition features paintings (oil on canvas). The artist applies paint to the canvas with a palette knife, creating an interesting texture. Grocholski portrays women because women have always surrounded him in his private life: his wife and his two daughters.
Gifts were raffled among the women attending the opening to mark the upcoming holiday: Mrs Julia Paliwoda won a romantic dinner for two; Mrs Józefa Świstak won a swimming pool pass; and Jadwiga Bączek, Teresa Sas, Władysława Górecka, Danuta Bączek, Beata Ogórek-Lubarska, Wanda Krzyżanowska and Anna Hil won swimming pool admission tickets.
The exhibition can be viewed at the BOK-MCC Gallery until 23 March 2014.
