Classes during the winter holidays will take place at BOK-MCC and the Orzeł Cultural Integration Centre. Forum Cinema has prepared a varied film programme and a theatrical performance for children.
Participation in the workshops is free of charge. Places are limited. Registration opens on 3 February at the Tourist and Cultural Information Point in the Forum Cinema building or by phone at 75-645-32- 90. Details are available on the BOK-MCC website and the Forum Cinema website.
General winter holiday programme at BOK-MCC and CIK Orzeł
- HIP-HOP dance workshops for children and young people. Participants will learn basic dance techniques, improve their fitness, and work on their posture and movement coordination. Instructor: Katarzyna Tomczyk-Jakubowska
- Break Dance workshops for children and young people (ages 7–15). Learning the basic break dance steps. Instructor: Pawła Klimek
- Oriental Dance for children and young people (group I: ages 6–11, group II: ages 12–17). Participants will learn the basics of exotic dance from the Far East. Instructor: Alicja Kowal
- Aerobics for the youngest children (ages 7–10). Instructor: Agnieszka Podłaszczyk
- “Rainbow Worlds” ceramics and sculpture workshops for children and young people (ages 7–16) Visual arts classes involving the creation of ceramic bas-reliefs in which colour plays the leading role. The classes focus on issues related to the ellipse, its transformation, modification and deformation. Instructors: Edyta Orlińska, Mateusz Grobelny
- “Collage” workshops for children and young people (ages 7–19). Painting and batik workshops (wax painting on fabric). Visual arts classes during which collages will be created from various materials—glass, paper, clay and fabric. Instructor: Magdalena Konieczna
- “The World of Dinosaurs” visual arts workshops for children and young people (from age 7). Working with a variety of materials, from traditional paintings to three-dimensional forms, including work with salt dough. Instructor: Stanisława Wojda – Pytlińska
- “First Steps with the Guitar” music workshops for children and young people. Guitar workshops for anyone wishing to begin learning to play the guitar or improve their technique. Classical, acoustic and electric guitar classes. Instructor: Mirosław Kuc
- Poeticon concert “Day of Lovers”. A performance by a sung poetry group on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. 14 February, 6:00 p.m., Orzeł cinema hall
- Orzeł Eye Club, or meetings for young film and photography enthusiasts (from age 13). Open classes, no registration required
- “Photo Holidays”. Instructor: Mariusz Laudański
- Swap Meet—a market for exchanging unwanted items. If you have unwanted clothes, books, toys, dishes or other items, bring them to the former Orzeł Cinema, now the Cultural Integration Centre, and exchange them with your neighbours. Coordinator: Mariusz Laudański
- Wok-kultura. Vocal workshops open to young people (from age 10). The classes will focus on songs from well-known cartoons and film music. The pieces will be adapted thematically and by genre to the participants’ ages. Instructor: Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy
- Auditions for boys’ or men’s roles in the musical “The Lion King” for young people and adults (ages 16–30). Audition programme for The Lion King: boys’ or men’s roles. Presentation of any poem, a scene or prose excerpt, as well as any song, with or without accompaniment. Instructor: Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy
- No to CiK! It’s Rolling—film holidays at “Orzeł” for young people (from age 14). Instructor: Michał Szwed
- Premiere 2D and 3D animated films “The Lego Movie” and “The Nut Job”, as well as “Turbo”, “The Story of a Snail Who Dreams of Becoming a Racing Star”, “The Snow Queen” and “Justin: A Heroic Tale”. Children’s performance “Peter and the Wolf”
