The Christmas wafer-sharing meeting, held on 14 December at the parish community centre on Elizy Orzeszkowej Street in Bolesławiec, was attended by 40 children accompanied by guardians.

The Polish Red Cross prepared Christmas Eve refreshments: red borscht with mushroom-filled dumplings, pierogi, noodles with poppy seeds, fruit, cake and juices. Each child received a package with sweets and a stuffed toy. Everyone exchanged greetings and shared the Christmas wafer. The children from the Osiedlowy Club on Kościuszki Street performed a Nativity play.

The meeting was attended by: Stanisław Zmaczyński, a Bolesławiec councillor, Tadeusz Kupczak, director of MOPS in Bolesławiec, and women from the Osiedlowy Club. Janina Majewska treated the children to the donated fruit and handed out stuffed toys.

Danuta Zielińska from the Bolesławiec Polish Red Cross extends heartfelt thanks for their involvement in organising the meeting to Kamila Chromińska, the volunteers Marcelina Chuchro, Małgorzata Wycech, Marek Roszkowski, Wojciech Chromiński, Robert Kryszewski and Iwona Pluto-Putyrska, the shelter employee and the parish priest, Rev. Andrzej Gidziński.
