In October, we reported that Piotr Płotka, an athlete from Klubu Sportów Walki „Gladiator” Bolesławiec and a soldier in the 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade in Świętoszów, took first place in the Polish National MMA Championships for Uniformed Services (mixed martial arts).
On 1 December, Gladiator athletes competed in the Amateur MMA League in Wrocław. The tournament featured very strong competitors from all over Poland (250 fighters). Piotr Płotka won silver in the up-to-73 kg category. Arkadiusz Skóra lost in the quarterfinals of the MMA competition (67 kg category), while Karol Kłosowski was eliminated in the first round of the Polish Junior MMA Championships after a closely fought bout with the eventual bronze medallist (63 kg).
Mateusz Kolanek (87 kg category) and Mateusz Pawlikowski (67 kg) were eliminated in the first round of the Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament.
