The game began favourably for our team. Bolesławiec scored as early as the seventh minute. The goal was scored by Tomasz Jasiński, who beat the visitors’ goalkeeper with a shot into the left corner after an attack down the right side of the pitch. After scoring, the Bolesławiec players began to dominate on the field. In the 12th minute, Radek Pietkiewicz missed an opportunity to extend the lead. Two minutes later, the ball ended up in the BKS goal, but the referee disallowed it. The reason for the decision was a foul on the Bolesławiec goalkeeper. The players from Brzeg made many mistakes in defence, but the hosts were unable to take advantage of them. In the 26th minute, the visitors’ player Jarosław Gad came close to beating Marek Przykłota, but fortunately for Bolesławiec he hit the post. Towards the end of the first half, both teams played chaotically, often losing the ball in the middle of the field.
In the 49th minute, Tomasz Jasiński again found himself with a chance to score his second goal of the match. This time, the visitors’ goalkeeper intervened effectively, punching the ball out for a corner. In the 52nd minute, Jarosław Gad fired wide at the hosts’ goal. The players from Brzeg tried to attack the BKS goal, but their moves usually ended with the Bolesławiec defenders. The visitors also tried shots from distance, but these too were effectively blocked by the Bolesławiec defence. In the 75th minute, following a foul on a visiting player, the referee awarded a free kick. Bartłomiej Nykiel took the free kick and scored the equaliser. After conceding, BKS tried to make amends, but without success. The referee’s decisions caused considerable controversy among the Bolesławiec players. The official reacted meticulously to BKS infringements, while showing no such precision towards the visitors. Disputed situations were generally interpreted by the referee in favour of the players from Brzeg. This led to frequent protests from both the players and the supporters. Ultimately, BKS Bolesławiec drew 1–1 at home with KP Brzeg Dolny.
