The Bolesławiec Volleyball Association team faced Rosiek Syców on its home court. After losing the first set, the players from Bolesławiec woke up and won the entire match 3:1 (19:25, 25:19, 29:27, 25:19). The winning team is coached by Krzysztof Mosiądz.

“We thank the players and the spectators, who once again turned up in force and gave us wonderful support,” says Jacek Łuczkowski, president of the Bolesławiec Volleyball Association. “The lineup for this match was very experimental, which was evident in the first set, but we managed to overcome the situation.”

“We are being plagued by a wave of injuries,” states Krzysztof Mosiądz. “Some players were injured in the previous match against Oleśnica, and one of them, Robert Walkowiak, was injured the day before the match against Syców. We played with a weakened lineup and won, which shows that we have a well-balanced squad. Every one of our volleyball players can replace a member of the starting six. That is a major strength of this team and a good sign for the future.”

“We entered the first set a little sleepy,” notes Tomasz Włoszczyński, captain of the Bolesławiec team. “Then there were several situations that woke us up, including the thrashing we received in the first set. After that, everything worked as it should. Matches played with a weakened lineup are difficult. But it is precisely in such moments that a team is forged. Our team fought for every ball. The boys had an enormous desire to fight; everyone ran after the ball with everything they had in their legs. Thanks to that, we managed to win. Great respect to the entire team.”

Next Saturday, our volleyball players will face a team from Złotoryja away. “I hope all the players will be fully fit by then and that we will perform even better,” says Krzysztof Mosiądz. “We do not know how Złotoryja plays. There are rumors that they have assembled a strong squad, but that does not concern us. We are going there to win,” adds Tomasz Włoszczyński.

The match was enhanced by a performance from a dance group from GCKiS in Nowogrodziec, led by Krystyna Abramowicz.
