On Saturday, 2 November, BKS Bobrzanie hosted AKS Strzegom. The match on the 14th matchday of the Lower Silesian fourth division was the last autumn-round game our team played at home. Before the match began, Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman and City Council Chairman Józef Pokładek presented the players with new football kits bearing the city crest and the inscription “We Play for Bolesławiec”.
The visitors started the match better. In the 12th minute, an AKS player tested Kamil Kulesza’s abilities. A minute later, the BKS goalkeeper could do little. After Michał Błoński made a mistake and slipped in the penalty area, a visiting player took possession of the ball and set up Marcin Dobrowolski, who completed the move. In the 31st minute, the visitors could have extended their lead, but the BKS goalkeeper was not caught off guard. The visitors had more of the play in the first half. BKS had its best chance to equalise in the 45th minute. Marek Majka played the ball to Daniel Ziółkowski, but the latter’s shot was too weak to surprise the visitors’ goalkeeper.
In the 47th minute, the visitors’ goalkeeper tipped Piotr Dzięgleski’s header over the bar for a corner. AKS responded with a dangerous counterattack. Fortunately, the players from Strzegom were unable to produce an effective shot. In the 64th minute, BKS equalised. First, Daniel Ziółkowski struck at the visitors’ goal, but the ball hit the crossbar. Emmanuel Ohagwu was waiting for just such a chance Emmanuel Ohagwu and beat the visiting goalkeeper with a powerful shot under the crossbar. The visitors finished the match with 10 men after Michał Sudoł left the field in the 83rd minute following his second yellow card. In the 90th minute, BKS failed to take advantage of complete confusion in the Strzegom penalty area. Marek Majka’s shot was too weak. Marcin Kraśnicki also failed to take his chance, missing the ball. BKS Bobrzanie – AKS Strzegom 1:1 (0:1). BKS will play three more away matches. In the next round, Paweł Żmudziński’s players will travel to Jelenia Góra for a match against Karokonosze. Their subsequent opponents will be KP Brzeg Dolny and MKS Szczawno Zdrój.
