From 28 to 30 September, a project called "We Live by the Bóbr" was held. It was organised by II Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Bolesławiec, Liceum Ogólnokształcące in Szprotawa and Zespół Szkół Tekstylnych i Handlowych in Żagań. The Municipal Centre for Environmental Education also took part in the project. MCEE's plans for October and November include classes for fourth-grade primary school pupils on waste separation and the separate collection of batteries. The classes will be held in the Municipal Centre for Environmental Education room at Primary School No. 4.

A knowledge competition about the bioregion, entitled "In the Land of Lusatian Forests", has also been scheduled for October and November. The competition will have district and regional stages. The Centre for Environmental Education in Lubań and Zgorzelec will participate in its organisation. Meanwhile, from November to December, a competition for preschool children and primary school pupils called "Why Is There So Much Waste in the World?" will be held.
