A tragic incident occurred on Saturday (September 21) on national road no. 94 between Brzeźnik and Parzyce. At around 8:00 a.m., a woman driving an Opel Corsa crossed the center line and collided with a truck traveling from the direction of Parzyce. As a result of the collision, the Opel driver died at the scene. The truck driver tried to avoid the collision and drove into a ditch. The fatal accident occurred on a straight stretch of road.
Two crews from the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec and firefighters from the Volunteer Fire Service in Nowogrodziec took part in the operation. The firefighters’ activities included:
- securing the scene
- disconnecting the batteries
- placing a foam cushion around the DAF vehicle
- removing plastic vehicle parts lying on the road.
