On Thursday, August 28, the BKS senior team played its fourth-round match in the Lower Silesian fourth division. The match began with attacks from our team. In the 7th minute, Daniel Ziółkowski failed to take advantage of an excellent opportunity. With only the goalkeeper in front of him, the player failed to hit the target. Shortly afterward, a defender from the visiting team blocked Zbigniew Mastalerz’s shot. The same happened after Paweł Żmudziński’s effort. In the 22nd minute, Zbigniew Mastalerz produced an impressive diving header. Unfortunately, the ball hit the post after his header. BKS attacked, dominated and created chances, but Kuźnia Jawor’s goal seemed enchanted.

Toward the end of the first half, Marcin Kraśnicki jumped for the ball in the Jawor team’s penalty area and was pushed by an opposing player, but the referee remained unmoved. Shortly afterward, the same player could have put BKS ahead, but he was effectively blocked by two players from Jawor.

In the second half, the fans watched a continuation of the hosts’ inability to score. Interestingly, the visitors defended with all their players in their own half throughout the match and did not record their first shot on the BKS goal until the 70th minute. However, Manuel Kowalski intervened effectively, and the score remained 0–0. BKS played so ineffectively that the belief in victory faded from the fans’ faces with every passing minute. In the 87th minute, after Paweł Glanc’s cross, Piotr Dzięgleski headed the ball, but it stopped in the side netting.

When everyone thought in the 90th minute that the match would end in a goalless draw, Jacek Bochnia took advantage of the confusion in front of goal and placed the ball in the net with a precise shot. The players and fans were delighted by this winning goal right at the end of the match. Moments like these are why it is worth watching matches to the very end and supporting the team, especially when nothing is going right. BKS beat their opponents from Jawor 1–0 (0–0), modestly but fully deservedly, and collected three points. Next Saturday at 5:00 p.m., our team will face Olimpia in Kowary.
