On Sunday (August 18), BKS’s senior team played its second-round match in the Lower Silesian IV league. Our team’s opponent was MKS Szczawno Zdrój. Pawła Żmudzińskiego’s players wanted to make up for their 3–0 defeat in the opening round and began the match focused and highly motivated. In the 15th minute, Wojciech Glanc shot at the visitors’ goal, but his effort was off target. BKS mounted increasingly dangerous attacks, and in the 20th minute the hosts took the lead. Marcin Kraśnicki’s assist was converted by Emmanuel Ohagwu, who beat the visitors’ goalkeeper with a shot just inside the post. After scoring, the Bolesławiec players continued to attack. In the 25th minute, Marek Majka struck the side netting of the visitors’ goal. Three minutes later, the reliable Manu beat the goalkeeper from Szczawno for the second time. The two-goal lead inspired the Bolesławiec players. In the 44th minute, BKS dealt the visitors a third blow. Marek Majka played the ball to Wojciech Glanc in the penalty area, and he smashed the ball in from five metres to beat the helpless visiting goalkeeper.
The visitors did not produce their first dangerous shot on BKS’s goal until the second half. However, Kamil Draj’s shot was off target. In the 75th minute, Szczawno reduced the deficit. Daniel Kucharski scored directly from a corner kick: Daniel Kucharski. A few minutes later, the scorer of the consolation goal was sent off after receiving a second yellow card. With better finishing from our players, the victory would have been even more emphatic. Kamil Mielnik, Wojciech Glanc, Jacek Bochnia and Marcin Kraśnicki all had opportunities. Towards the end of the match, the visitors had a chance to reduce the margin of defeat. Fortunately, BKS’s defenders corrected an error by Manuel Kowalski, who had let the ball slip from his hands.
