BKS Bobrzanie’s senior team made a poor start to the IV-league campaign. In their first match, the Bolesławiec team hosted fellow newcomers KP Brzeg Dolny. Before the match, a ceremony was held to present a cup marking the Bolesławiec team’s promotion to the IV league. The cup was presented to the BKS team by the President of OZPN Jelenia Góra – Andrzej Kowal. After receiving the cup, the BKS players were also given new black-and-white football kits bearing the inscription Powiat Bolesławiecki. The kits, funded by the county, were handed over by Deputy Starost Stanisław Chwojnicki and Full-Time Member of the County Board Dariusz Kwaśniewski. Meanwhile, BKS player Marcin Kraśnicki received thanks from the supporters in the form of a statuette for the goals he scored for BKS in the previous season.

The BKS–KP Brzeg Dolny match began badly for the hosts. In the 4th minute, the BKS defenders’ indecision was exploited by Przemysław Stasiak, who beat the BKS goalkeeper with a precise lob. A few minutes later, BKS responded with an inaccurate shot by Marcin Kraśnicki. In the 13th minute, Marek Majka had a chance to equalise, but his shot flew just over the crossbar. The same player failed to take a second good opportunity in the 45th minute, shooting wide of the goal.

In the second half, BKS tried to equalise, but instead conceded a second goal. The visitors took advantage of the hosts’ nervous play and it was already 2–0 in the 56th minute. This time, Marek Gacek was added to the scoresheet. Conceding the second goal caused even greater nervousness and imprecision among the BKS players. Marcin Kraśnicki, Mateusz Świca and Wojciech Glanc tried to find the net for Brzeg. Unfortunately, nothing worked for our players that day. Our players appeared very tense.

A lack of ideas in building attacks, inaccurate shots, inaccurate passes and trouble controlling the ball dominated BKS’s play on Thursday afternoon. The visitors, meanwhile, played calmly and consistently, and in the 67th minute they delivered a third blow, settling the result. The 3–0 goal was scored by Kamil Kowalski. Late in the match, the large group of supporters saw two more shots hit the post. First, following BKS’s best move of the match, Marcin Kraśnicki headed the ball, which bounced off the post of the Brzeg goal. Then a visiting player hit the post of Manuel Kowalski’s goal. BKS Bobrzanie – KP Brzeg Dolny 0–3 (0–1).
