A woman from Bolesławiec Bogumiła Jędrzejczyk was born on 13 July 1913 in Truskawiec. In 1935, she married Maksymilian Jędrzejczyk. The couple settled in Drohobycz. There, Mrs Bogumiła gave birth to her first child—a son, Józef—in 1936, to a daughter, Janina, and in 1942, a son, Maksymilian, was born.

Mrs Bogumiła devoted herself to running the household and raising the children. Her husband worked at the Oil Refinery. Fearing deportation to Siberia, in September 1945 the family packed up their belongings and travelled west in one of the first transports, in freight wagons. The Jędrzejczyk family settled in Bolesławiec.

Their fourth child—a son, Bogumił—was born in March 1946. In 1956, Mrs Bogumiła began working at the Bolesławiec Vials and Ampoules Factory; in 1969, she took a disability pension. She currently has one son, who lives in Szczecin, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Her daughter-in-law cares for Mrs Bogumiła.
