In summer, intensive repair works are underway on the city roads in Bolesławiec. Good weather conditions have made it possible to carry out partial repairs on streets including: Magistracka, Sierpnia ’80, Asnyka, al. Tysiąclecia, Kościuszki, Różana, Spokojna, Kosiby, Starzyńskiego, Dębowa – Lipowa, Klonowa, Sobieskiego, Łukasiewicza, Kościuszki, Traugutta, Staszica (parking by the tunnel), Górne Młyny, Brody, Bankowa, Bielska, Masarska, Stokrotek, Narutowicza, Kwiatowa, Armii Krajowej, Kutuzowa, Obrońców Helu, the road to Dobra, Kasztanowa and Matejki.
Road sign repairs were carried out on the following streets: Brody, Karola Miarki, Śniadeckich, Sierpnia ’80, Kosiby, Starzyńskiego, Dolne Młyny, Zgorzelecka, Jezierskiego, Małachowskiego, Asnyka, Bielska, Armii Krajowej, Piastów, 10 Marca, Ceramiczna, Sadowa and Gdańska.
Corroded signs were replaced on Słowiańska, Cicha, Kaszubska, Wąska and Brzozowa streets. Grading of unpaved roads and temporary surfacing were carried out on Lubańska and Łasicka streets (by the garages), as well as on the access road to the garages on Gdańska Street.
Road markings were renewed on the following streets: Kaszubska, Konstytucji 3 Maja, Kilińskiego, al. Tysiąclecia, Sadowa, Czerwonych Maków, Armii Krajowej, Teatralna, Kościuszki, Małachowskiego, Kutuzowa, Asnyka, Piaskowa, Starzyńskiego and Jezierskiego.
Manhole adjustments were carried out on Sobieskiego–Batorego and Dębowa streets. Speed bumps were repainted on Sadowa, Różana, Tulipanowa, Widok, Matejki, Ptasia, Storczyków, Zabobrze (turnaround), Jezierskiego, Karpecka, Jana Pawła II, Bielska, Słowackiego, Wąska, Starzyńskiego and Warszawska streets.
Road signs were replaced on the following streets: Jodłowa, Sierpnia ’80, Starzyńskiego, Daszyńskiego, Dolne Młyny, Łukasiewicza (behind BOK-MCC), Jesionowa and Modrzewiowa (at the intersection with Świerkowa). Drainage channels were installed on Bankowa Street to carry rainwater from the road into the stormwater drainage system.
In the Market Square, as part of the maintenance of the illumination of historic buildings, burned-out lamps illuminating the tenement houses were replaced.
A new traffic organisation was introduced on Sierpnia ’80 Street (the no-stopping signs were removed), and bollards restricting access to the pavement were installed where it narrows, near the Żabka store.
Following the opening of Prusa Street to traffic, a road barrier was installed to block access to the road during the no-parking period. The barrier is automatically lowered at 8:30 a.m. and raised at 6:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday; on Saturdays, it is raised at 2:30 p.m.
Remote controls have been provided for emergency service vehicles, enabling the barrier to be lowered and raised in an emergency.
