On Sunday, June 16, at the stadium on Spółdzielcza Street in Bolesławiec, the senior and youth teams of BKS Bobrzanie celebrated their sporting achievements. The senior team celebrated promotion to the fourth tier, while the youth team celebrated winning the Jelenia Góra District Championship. Brief ceremonies were held before and after the BKS senior team's victorious match against Kwisa Świeradów Zdrój.
Czy BKS powinien grać w IV lidze?
The district's young champions led their older teammates onto the pitch. The senior players then presented the youth players with commemorative medals. After the match against Kwisa, champagne corks popped. The players celebrated their promotion to the fourth tier, which they had already secured in the match against Bazalt Sulików. The BKS team now faces the Lower Silesian fourth tier. Will the team remain in the fourth tier? Will it be there for only one season? Everything depends on support from the city and the goodwill of sponsors. The attendance of fans at matches is also significant. One thing is certain: Bolesławiec deserves at least a fourth-tier team.
From the editorial team:
Congratulations, guys—you deserved this promotion more than anyone else in the league. Congratulations to coach Paweł Żmudziński, who showed that it is possible to play brilliantly yourself while also building a great team. Congratulations to the players, who underestimated no one and always played until the end. You all had a very good season. Thanks to Marcin Jankowski, who scored 17 goals in the autumn round. It was also thanks to Marcin's effectiveness that BKS occupied first place after last year's round. Congratulations to Marcin Kraśnicki for scoring 18 goals in this round. We hope that Marcin and the rest of the team will stay with us on the fourth-tier pitches as well! Congratulations to the midfielders, defenders and goalkeeper. To the guys from Żagań and Bolesławiec. You formed—and continue to form—a collective, and it was visible in every match. It is no coincidence that BKS has conceded the fewest goals among the district-league teams. Thanks to the board and the president, who devote their time and money to keeping the club running. Thanks to the city of Bolesławiec, MOSiR, the sponsors, supporters and fans, who were always there for the team. Congratulations also to the perpetually dissatisfied and constant complainers. All one can do is congratulate you on your perseverance in complaining constantly.
