The winning run of the BKS Bobrzanie senior team continues. On Sunday afternoon (May 5), Pawel Żmudziński’s team secured a convincing victory, defeating local side Victoria 5–0 in Ruszów. However, the beginning of the match did not suggest that the Bolesławiec team’s victory would be so emphatic. The hosts had two good chances to take the lead. First, none of the home players managed to intercept the ball as it travelled across the goal line, while a few minutes later Piotr Bryłkowski stopped the ball at the last moment from the foot of a Ruszów player who was moving into a one-on-one position with the goalkeeper.
BKS responded in the 13th minute with a successful header by Marcin Kraśnicki, making it 1–0 to the visitors. A few minutes later, Pawel Żmudziński struck from distance, but the ball flew over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Zbigniew Mastalerz shot at the Ruszów goal. The goalkeeper parried the ball, but he was helpless when Emmanuel Ohagwu followed up. In the 27th minute, Manuel Kowalski saved a dangerous shot by the hosts. Then, in the 40th minute, BKS were already 3–0 ahead. Piotr Bryłkowski’s cross was converted by Zbigniew Mastalerz, who headed the ball into the net.
BKS continued to attack in the second half. In the 46th minute, Wojciech Glanc was fouled in the hosts’ penalty area, but the referee did not see an infringement. In the 49th minute, Victoria had a chance to score, but the ball hit the post. In the 54th minute, Kamil Mielnik provided Marcin Kraśnicki with an excellent pass, and he does not usually waste such opportunities, sending a shot into the far corner to extend BKS’s lead to 4–0. The hosts tried to score at least a consolation goal. Their best chance came in the 56th minute, but Manuel Kowalski was unbeatable that day and cleverly took the ball away even in a one-on-one situation. Bolesławiec scored their fifth goal in the 68th minute. Following an assist from Pawel Żmudziński, Wojciech Glanc put the ball into the net. BKS defeated Victoria Ruszów 5–0 (3–0) and remain top of the table.
