One person is dead and two were taken to hospital following a road accident that occurred after 1:00 p.m. on the Golnice-Trzebień route. According to preliminary police findings, the driver of the Opel, which was also carrying two other people, was overtaking another car and struck a truck traveling properly.

The force of the impact was so great that both vehicles ended up in ditches on opposite sides of the road. It is already known that the TIR driver, who was unharmed, was sober. Police, a prosecutor and firefighters are at the scene.

Another accident occurred on the same road today. Around noon in Łąka, near a petrol station, a motorcyclist collided with a cement tanker and ended up in a ditch. The injured man was taken to hospital.

Meanwhile, before 1:00 p.m. in Bolesławiec, two cars collided at the intersection of Bankowa and Karola Miarki streets. Two people sustained minor injuries.
