On Sunday, 11 November, BKS played its postponed match in Świeradów. It was the final match of this round of the competition. The match against Kwisa began with BKS attacks. In the 7th minute, Kamil Mielnik had a chance to score the opening goal. His shot from several metres out was saved by the Świeradów goalkeeper, while Jankowski’s follow-up went wide of the Kwisa goal. Bolesławiec had another chance in the 11th minute. Following a cross from W. Glanc’s corner, Marcin Jankowski headed the ball just wide of the post. BKS continued to apply pressure. After a pass from P. Glanc, Damian Kamuda found himself in an excellent position. Following Damian’s delicate, technical shot, the ball went just wide of the Kwisa goal.
The missed chances could have come back to haunt them. In the 28th minute, two home players could have taken advantage of a misunderstanding between Kowalski and Piotrek Bryłkowski. Fortunately, the ball went wide of the BKS goal after a header by the Kwisa striker, who attempted to lob Kowalski. The Bolesławiec players could have scored a so-called “locker-room goal”, but after Jankowski’s shot, a home defender cleared the ball off the goal line.
In the 47th minute, “Jankes” scored, but the assistant referee judged our striker to be offside and the goal was disallowed. In the 55th minute, the home side had a chance to score. A Kwisa player’s shot struck the crossbar of the goal guarded by Kowalski. BKS took the lead in the 58th minute. Wojtek Glanc struck a free kick perfectly and the ball landed in the Kwisa net. Just five minutes later, we could have been leading 2–0. Marcin Jankowski found himself one-on-one with the Kwisa goalkeeper. Unfortunately, Marcin lost his way in his dribbling and the ball was cleared by the home defenders.
In the 68th minute, “Jankes” played the ball in the penalty area to Damian Kamuda, who gently shot past the helpless home goalkeeper. We led 2–0. “Jankes” made up for his earlier missed chances and, in the 84th minute, headed the ball into the net for 3–0 after a fine cross from Mielnik. Sunday’s BKS victory ended the home side’s excellent run; according to information obtained from Kwisa officials, they had not lost at home since 2008. BKS took all three points and became autumn champions.
