Maciej Małkowski, a county councillor, did not like yesterday’s column by Grażyna Hanaf. He decided that one of the paragraphs was an attack on him. On his blog, he wondered what had prompted the criticism. The only conclusion he reached was money. He decided that sympathy must be paid for, and if one does not pay, one is attacked.

We checked what this statement looks like in the case of Małkowski’s own conduct. Between 2007 and 2010, when he was, among other positions, the city’s deputy mayor, he earned more than PLN 355,000. At that time, he did not criticize matters related to the city even once in the media or on the internet.

In December 2010, Małkowski lost his position as deputy mayor. During the last nearly two years, he received not a single złoty from the City Hall, but the number of problems the councillor began describing increased. To date, there have been sixteen—one case every month and a half.

In our column, we criticized only the public actions of the county councillor and former deputy mayor. Maciej Małkowski, outraged that he had been criticized, accused us of something he himself has been doing since the salary from the City Hall stopped being paid into his account.

Maciej Małkowski w latach 2007-2010 pracował w Urzędzie Miasta i zarobił ponad 355 tys. zł. Nie krytykował wtedy w mediach lub internecie spraw związanych z miastem. W ostatnich niecałych dwóch latach nie otrzymał z Urzędu Miasta ani złotówki, za to aż do 16 spraw odniósł się krytycznie.Maciej Małkowski w latach 2007-2010 pracował w Urzędzie Miasta i zarobił ponad 355 tys. zł.
