Cervical cancer kills as many as five Polish women every day. The cause of this disease is the HPV virus. Every woman may be at risk. The Polish Society of Gynecologists recommends population-wide vaccination of girls who have not yet come into contact with the virus—that is, before sexual initiation. As many as 80% of sexually active women may become infected with HPV at some point in their lives, generally soon after sexual initiation.

Bolesławiec County, concerned about the health of its female residents, has decided to finance preventive vaccinations against HPV, the virus that causes cervical cancer.

The vaccinations will be available to female students in the first years of post-secondary schools, residing in Bolesławiec County (permanently or temporarily registered there). We encourage all parents to take advantage of this opportunity. Vaccination is an excellent investment in the health of the young female residents of Bolesławiec County. Together, let’s say STOP to cervical cancer!

The health program is financed from the budget of Bolesławiec County. Registration is open from October 22 to 26. Applications will be processed in the order received!
