The match began with the visitors enjoying a clear advantage. In the opening quarter of an hour, the Oleśnica players imposed a very fast pace and frequently threatened Marek Przykłota’s goal. As early as the 3rd minute, the visitors produced a dangerous, though narrowly inaccurate, shot. A few minutes later, following a corner for Pogoń, a visiting forward failed to connect with the ball. The hosts did not respond to the visitors’ attacks until the 15th minute, when Grzegorz Nowak fired wide. His shot went past the left post of Pogoń’s goal.
In the 17th minute, the visitors confirmed their advantage by scoring. Adam Hałapacz found the net for Pogoń with a shot into the right corner. A minute later, the visitors were already 2–0 ahead. Tomasz Jurkiewicz got his name on the scoresheet. Interestingly, the goal was scored in the same way as the previous one. In the 22nd minute, the visitors created another chance to extend their lead, but this time the BKS goalkeeper was not caught off guard. Unfortunately, in the 28th minute the visitors scored again. Ireneusz Mamrot made it 3–0 for Pogoń. That was not the end of the goals seen by the supporters in the first half, however. In the 33rd minute, Pogoń Oleśnica scored another goal. Tomasz Jurkiewicz got on the scoresheet for the second time in the match.
In the 35th minute, Jacek Jasiński produced an individual move. After a solo run down the right side of the pitch, he beat the Pogoń goalkeeper with a powerful shot. Before the break, the Bolesławiec side scored a second goal. This time, Tomasz Jasiński found the net.
The game became more even in the second half. The Oleśnica players dropped deeper into defence, conceding the initiative to the BKS players. In the 48th minute, Łukasz Rudyk shot wide. Five minutes later, Tomasz Jasiński failed to take advantage of a chance for the Bolesławiec side. In the 58th minute, Paweł Rissmann had an opportunity to score but failed to make clean contact with the ball. In the 75th minute, the referee disallowed a goal following Grzegorz Nowak’s shot. According to the referee, the player had used his hand while controlling the ball. In the 82nd minute, BKS scored a third goal. It was scored by Piotr Halkowicz, who placed the ball in the top corner of Pogoń’s goal with a very fine shot. The score did not change before the final whistle. BKS lost to Pogoń Oleśnica 3–4 and finished the competition in eighth place in the table.
