Environmental Competition Results Announced in Bolesławiec

The results of the environmental competition “There’s a Way to Recycle Batteries Too” have been announced. The competition was organized by the Municipal Environmental Education Center. It was open to preschool children and students from all grades of primary and lower-secondary schools in Bolesławiec and rewarded the group that collected the largest number of batteries.

The competition was entered by 19 preschool groups and 47 classes from schools in Bolesławiec. During the two-month campaign, participants collected a record number of more than 20,000 used batteries.

In the “Best Class” category (primary schools and lower-secondary schools), first place went to Class I D from Gimnazjum Samorządowe nr 1, which collected 3,979 batteries. The next places went to Class II G from Gimnazjum Samorządowe nr 3 and Class I A from Gimnazjum Samorządowe nr 3.

In the “Best Preschool Group” category, first place went to the group of five-year-olds from Miejskie Przedszkole Publiczne nr 7, which collected 818 batteries. The next places went to the group of four-year-olds from Miejskie Przedszkole Publiczne nr 4 and the group of five-year-olds from Miejskie Przedszkole Publiczne nr 3.

Prizes were provided for the winners. The prize for first place was a one-day trip to Wrocław Zoological Garden, including the bus and admission tickets; second place received cinema tickets for a selected film screening and sweets; and third place received cinema tickets for a selected film screening.
