On Wednesday, 15 August, BKS Bobrzanie began its campaign in the Jelenia Góra district league. Before the match, BKS representative Zbigniew Mitera presented the hosts with a gift—balls. The away match against Piast Wykroty began according to the hosts’ plan. Piast took the lead in the very first minute. Filip Godlewski confidently directed the ball into Manuel Kowalski’s goal Filip Godlewski. It is worth noting that former BKS player Paweł Rissmann provided the assist for the goal. In the 10th minute, the same player headed a shot on goal. The BKS goalkeeper caught the ball at the second attempt. BKS tried to make up the deficit, but Piast scored a second goal. In the 22nd minute, Godlewski scored again, and a sensation began to loom in Wykroty. In the 24th minute, Wojciech Glanc shot at Piast’s goal from outside the penalty area. Zbigniew Mastalerz changed the ball’s trajectory with his head Zbigniew Mastalerz. The ball bounced off the post, went into the net, and the home side led 2–1. In the 42nd minute, Marcin Jankowski unleashed a thunderous shot. The post saved the hosts, however.
Wykroty played very aggressively in the first half. This cost them a great deal of energy. In the second half, BKS’s advantage became increasingly clear, and more goals were only a matter of time. Jankowski narrowly missed in the 58th minute. What had not worked earlier succeeded in the 71st minute. This time, the popular Jankes hit the post and followed up to make it 2–2. Seven minutes later, BKS took the lead. Paweł Glanc’s technical shot Pawła Glanca into the top corner left the Piast goalkeeper able only to watch the ball. BKS’s fourth goal came in the 85th minute. Jacek Bochnia shot at Piast’s goal and, after an uncertain save by the home goalkeeper, Damian Kamuda successfully followed up Damian Kamuda. Piast Wykroty – BKS Bobrzanie 2–4 (2–1).
The fans in Wykroty saw an interesting and dynamic match. One might even risk saying that the Piast–BKS match was far better and more entertaining than the evening match between Estonia and Poland. Despite the defeat, Piast’s team made a good impression, and it is certain that they will not be an easy opponent for anyone. BKS, meanwhile, still lacks cohesion. The team has many experienced players with exceptional technical ability. They are also highly motivated to play, so things should go well. The only bitter note is that Mateusz Mucha left the team at the very start of the competition and will probably play for Leśnik Osiecznica. In the next round, on Saturday, 18 August, BKS will host Mitex Podgórzyn. The match begins at 5:00 p.m.
BKS: Kowalski – Pietrzak, Glanc P., Błoński (yellow card), Bryłkowski, Żmudziński, Glanc W. (85' Głowacki), Mastalerz (83' Janicki), Bochnia, Kamuda, Jankowski.
