On Monday, an event entitled "Made in Bolesławiec" began at the Polish Institute in Prague, Czechia. The presentation of Bolesławiec aims to promote our city, along with its culture and traditions, and to invite tourists to the Ceramics Festival, which has been held on the penultimate weekend of August for sixteen years.
Bolesławiec is the third city, after Wrocław and Warsaw, to have its own presentation at the Polish Institute in Prague. The main event was the opening of the exhibition following the 40th International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium, which attracted a large number of visitors. The official opening of "Made in Bolesławiec" was conducted by Polish Institute Director Mirosław Jasiński and Bolesławiec Mayor Piotr Roman.
The exhibition, which residents and tourists visiting Prague can view until June 24, also provided an opportunity to present photographs by Bolesławiec resident Grzegorz Matoryn, the Bolesławiec blues band "Obstawa Prezydenta," and Bagdan Nowak's mimetic impressions on the subject of ceramics; Nowak is also a resident of Bolesławiec.
After Prague, the exhibition following the symposium will be displayed in Český Krumlov, Czechia—a city inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
