In February last year, we reported that Mateusz Celmer from Bolesławiec had become head of the Student Government of Wrocław University of Science and Technology (also known as the Parliament of Students). This year, our fellow townsman became chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Parliament of Students of the Republic of Poland and an expert on the quality of education for the European Students’ Union (ESU), an organization bringing together 45 national student bodies from 38 countries across the continent.
At the same time, the Bolesławiec resident became a student expert on the quality of education in the Institutional Evaluation Programme (IEP), carried out by the European University Association.
The presence of a Polish expert in both organizations is an opportunity for students to receive support in their efforts to ensure the quality of education in Polish higher education in accordance with European standards.
