Preparations for the festival under the slogan “Mum, Dad and Me” began in the morning in the kindergarten garden, which was decorated with colorful balloons. Wonderful treats were prepared in the kindergarten kitchen.

The first attraction for the large audience was a performance by the older children’s group, during which the preschoolers explained exactly what a mother is needed for and what a well-trained father is for. The parents listened to their children with pride and emotion and rewarded their performances with loud applause. At the end of the artistic program, all the preschoolers performed. Almost one hundred children sang a song for their mothers. More than one mother had a tear in her eye from emotion.

Among the attractions prepared for the children, the inflatable castle and ball pit were the most popular, with the lines showing no sign of ending.

The little ones also had great fun having their faces painted. The kindergarten grounds filled with children in face paint: kittens, puppies and butterflies. Spiderman, Batman, clowns and many other colorful characters could also be seen, brought to life on the preschoolers’ faces by Lena’s mother, Urszula Matyjewicz, Cecylka’s mother, Katarzyna Rutka, and Domink’s mother, Magdalena Rak.

The preschoolers and their parents could also take part in ceramic workshops led by Jarosław Sawicki and create an unusual work of art from clay with their own hands. The children could also use an art corner, where they could paint with their parents or draw with pastels on large sheets of gray paper.

Among the male participants of the festival, eyes lit up at the sight of remote-controlled vehicles: a MikroKopter, airplanes and cars. The vehicles could be operated independently, which proved difficult and required practice. The models were presented by representatives of the Bolesławiec Modelers’ Club of the Association of the Bolesławiec Region—Kamilka and Martynka’s fathers, Piotr Sacher and Krzysztof Raczko.

Another major attraction was the opportunity to see the equipment of a police vehicle, fire engine and military police vehicle up close. Anyone who wanted could climb into a military, fire or police vehicle, switch on the “siren,” or have a commemorative photo taken wearing a helmet, hard hat or bulletproof vest, holding a baton or using other accessories.

Festival participants could also admire Małgorzata Sacher’s computer graphics exhibition. A café awaited everyone, where they could sample homemade baked goods prepared by the parents and other treats prepared by the kindergarten staff. There was pea soup, grilled sausages, slices of bread with lard and pickles, as well as wonderful vegetable and fruit salads.

The family atmosphere, sunny weather and pleasant mood made the day special for the children, parents and kindergarten staff alike. It was also an opportunity to pause for a moment, take a break from the constant rush and, above all, spend pleasant time together outdoors.

The children’s joy, the smiles on their faces and, above all, the wonderful fun were the greatest thanks for the festival organizers, who are already planning another event of this kind and warmly invite everyone to attend.
