The kindergarten children, equipped with rubbish bags and plastic gloves, set out to clean the areas near the kindergarten building on Ceramiczna Street and the branch building on Dolne Młyny Street.
The children eagerly and enthusiastically collected pieces of paper, cans and plastic bottles. Their participation in the action was preceded by a series of nature and ecology classes, during which the children learned about the dangers threatening the environment as a result of improper human behaviour. While collecting rubbish, the children reinforced their knowledge of waste separation in a practical way.
The children from “Trójka” love their city very much and want everyone to live there comfortably. They dedicate the song “Let’s Clean Up the World” to the residents of Bolesławiec.
Let’s clean up the world,
let’s collect the rubbish,
let everything around be clean,
let’s care for nature.
Today I call on all the inhabitants of the earth,
let no one ever blush,
For caring about cleanliness is not shameful,
it is shameful to dirty and litter our surroundings.
Look around,
paper on the pavement,
don’t look at it indifferently,
leave it in the bin.
Let us hope that the concern for the cleanliness of the environment in which they live, instilled in the children from an early age, will bear fruit and that the city will consequently become cleaner.
The action was organised by the Municipal Centre for Environmental Education and was one of the tasks carried out as part of the “Bolesławiec Acts Ecologically” project.
