On Saturday, the opening of the post-symposium exhibition from another edition of the International Ceramic and Sculpture Symposium was held at the BOK-MCC Gallery. The exhibition is also accompanied by a display of photographs by Grzegorz Stadnik.

“Clay is a demanding material, fair to everyone,” said Mirosław Kociński, author of the introduction to the exhibition catalogue. “The irreversible firing process not only preserves and ennobles it; it also verifies shortcomings, sometimes causes disappointment, and always teaches humility.

The exhibition presents works by thirteen artists from Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Finland and the United States. One of the symposium participants, Mika Sarasjoki, pointed out the enormous influence that the place where the works are created has on the creative process.

“This is already the 47th symposium. A lot has changed during that time,” said Nanuszewski of the Association of Polish Art Artists in Wrocław. “The way we perceive art and what we call art has also changed.
