In the category of the best cultural institution or cultural initiative, Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury – the organiser of the Bolesławiec Ceramic Festival – will compete for the Key to Success. Miejski Ośrodek Sportu i Rekreacji was nominated in the category of the best organiser of mass recreational events and sports and recreation centre for organising the World Youth Classic Bowling Championships and creating a skate park and cycling paths.
In the category of the best Lower Silesian non-governmental organisation, Bolesławieckie Towarzystwo Gospodarcze will compete for the award. Zamiejscowy Ośrodek Akademii Górniczo-Hutniczej will be among the best educational initiatives.
Established in 1996, the Lower Silesian Key to Success is one of the first initiatives of the Association for the Promotion of Lower Silesia. According to its creators, the purpose of this distinction is to promote everything that is best in Lower Silesia.
