As a result of the accident, the scooter rider sustained serious injuries. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation was performed at the scene, but despite the efforts of the emergency services, it was not possible to restore his vital functions. The man died at the scene.
Emergency services worked at the scene, while officers secured the site of the tragedy and began activities aimed at establishing the exact course of the incident.
Police will determine the circumstances in which the scooter collided with the van and what directly caused the crash. The proceedings are being conducted under the supervision of a prosecutor.

The incident occurred today before 4:00 p.m. on the narrow road connecting Nowa Świdnica with Olszyna. According to the police’s preliminary findings, a 32-year-old resident of Olszyna Commune, while descending a hill, fell over on the road in front of an approaching van and ended up under the vehicle. The accident occurred on a bend in the road, in a place with severely limited visibility.
