Leśne Skarby Wierzbowej 2026. Check the festival program
In Wierzbowa, in the Gromadka municipality, an event will be held bringing together residents of different generations, local tradition, and the subject of safety. The “Leśne Skarby Wierzbowej 2026” festival will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, and is organized by OSP Wierzbowa, KGW Wierzbowa, MDP Wierzbowa, as well as the parents and residents of the aforementioned village.
The 77th anniversary of the Volunteer Fire Department in Wierzbowa is also an occasion for this gathering. The organizers want to recall the history of the unit and its importance to the local community, but they have also prepared attractions for children, young people, adults, and seniors.
Official opening and meeting of generations
The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the OSP Wierzbowa fire station. The program includes an official opening, raising the flag, the anthem of the Association of Volunteer Fire Brigades of the Republic of Poland, and welcoming the guests.
Fifteen minutes later, the “Meeting of Generations” will begin. At the fire station, visitors will be able to listen to memories, learn about the unit’s history, and take part in conversations between young people and seniors.
At 1:45 p.m., workshops on civil protection are planned. Participants will learn how to respond in crisis situations and how to ensure their own safety and that of their loved ones.
Stop Hate and a Rescue Operation Demonstration
Another item on the program will be the “Stop Hate” meeting, scheduled from 2:15 to 2:45 p.m. The organizers want to address respect, online safety, and appropriate responses to hate.
At 3:00 p.m., one of the festival’s more spectacular events is planned – a road accident reenactment. In the square near the Village Hall, OSP and PSP firefighters will demonstrate operations involving technical rescue.
This will be an opportunity to see up close what a rescue operation may look like after a road incident and what type of equipment firefighters use during such operations.
Regional flavors and a family feast
From 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., the “Traditional Flavors of the Region” area will be available at the Village Hall. The program includes regional dishes, a tasting, and cooking together.
A family feast will begin at 6:00 p.m. The organizers promise community integration, music, and shared entertainment.
Liquid nitrogen and Mad Scientist Ambroży
One of the most unusual attractions is planned for the evening. From 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., the Village Hall will host the show “Chemist in Action – Mad Scientist Ambroży.”
The audience will be able to see spectacular chemistry experiments, including demonstrations using liquid nitrogen and special effects. This part of the program is designed for everyone who enjoys science presented in an impressive and engaging way.
The festival will end at 11:00 p.m. at the Village Hall.
“Where the Forest Brings People Together”
The organizers emphasize three values that are to accompany the event: community, safety, and tradition. “Leśne Skarby Wierzbowej 2026” is intended not only as an opportunity to celebrate the OSP anniversary, but also to bring residents together and spend time collectively.
The announced attractions include a road accident reenactment, first aid, an OSP equipment presentation, traditional regional flavors, a meeting of generations, and a family feast.
