Our editorial office received a report from a Reader who informed us that entry to the swimming pool and sauna at the Orka complex requires a PLN 10 surcharge. According to the Reader, a similar solution is also to be introduced at the Termy after their reopening.

The Reader also drew attention to the condition of the facility’s infrastructure. As they wrote in a message to our editorial office, “it would be nice if some of the price increases also went hand in hand with quality,” pointing out that the shower in the men’s section of the gym has reportedly been out of order for several years. (The facility has already addressed this issue; details in the article: Complaint about the Orka swimming pool prompts a response. MOSiR responds to the allegations).

We wrote at the time:

The head of the facility did not dispute the comments concerning the showers. He admitted that the water system in the 16-year-old facility requires modernization work.

As he announced, during the next scheduled maintenance break, elements of the system are to be cleared or replaced so that the showers operate more efficiently.

The director also emphasized that Orka is intensively used throughout the year, which affects the rate at which its equipment wears out. He added that MOSiR plans to obtain funding for a broader modernization of the swimming pool.

What about the surcharge?

As we have established, the surcharge results from new terms of cooperation with the operator of the MultiSport program. There is a new price list and a new agreement between the MultiSport company and the Municipality of Bolesławiec.

The Reader’s information was confirmed: the surcharge will also apply at the Termy.
