Grażyna is a wonderful, helpful woman, and also my wife. For many years she worked at MOPS and supported those who needed it. Unfortunately, she had been suffering from increasingly frequent headaches and quickly became tired. We thought it was due to overwork, but in February 2026 my wife suddenly fainted...
After an ambulance was called, she was taken to the emergency department, and the doctors suspected a stroke, so she was referred to the neurosurgery department. There, Grażyna underwent a series of tests that ruled out a stroke. Unfortunately, they confirmed another diagnosis – BRAIN CANCER.
And he adds:
At that moment, the doctors’ voices sounded to me like a blunt echo. I could not believe it and hoped that it was some kind of nightmare from which we would soon wake up and everything would be fine again. But it wasn’t.
One operation, then another...
Fundraiser organizer: – Grażyna underwent very serious surgery to remove the tumor. At first, it seemed that the procedure had been successful, and on April 22 my wife was discharged home. However, shortly afterward, cerebrospinal fluid began to leak, so another operation was necessary to clear everything.
But that was not the end of it. Mr Tomasz: – Unfortunately, an infection developed in the meantime, and Grażyna had to undergo a procedure that the doctors described as life-saving...
“I Want to Do Everything So That Grażyna Can Regain Her Former Life”
Grażyna’s husband concludes:
My wife survived this crisis, and after the operation she was taken to the neurosurgery department. Unfortunately, she is now bedridden and connected to a ventilator. She has severe weakness on her left side and her level of consciousness fluctuates. There are days when she only sleeps and follows the simplest commands, but sometimes she holds out her hand and we talk normally. As if this whole nightmare had never happened...
I want to do everything so that Grażyna can regain her former life, but for that to be possible, my wife needs to stay at a rehabilitation center. Specialist care, regular rehabilitation and exercise are her only chance. Unfortunately, the costs of staying at the center, as well as treatment, are simply astronomical.
And he adds:
Even if I worked several jobs, I would not be able to pay for everything. But giving up is not an option. That is why, although I never thought I would have to do this, today I am asking for your support. Even a small donation and sharing the fundraiser can help. I believe that together we can help Grażyna regain the former life she loves so much…
