As reported by the Bolesławiec police, the operation has been completed:

Traffic has been fully restored.

Mayor of the city:

The removal of the unexploded ordnance has been completed. As a result, vehicular traffic on the closed section of al. Tysiąclecia and public transport have been restored. Evacuated people may return to their workplaces. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding during the operation.


The operation to remove unexploded ordnance found at a construction site on aleja Tysiąclecia in Bolesławiec had been underway since 11:30. For the duration of the operation, part of aleja Tysiąclecia—from the intersection with ulica Gałczyńskiego to Solidarności Roundabout—was closed to traffic.

Zespół Szkół Budowalnych cancelled the classes scheduled for today – the school is closed.

The temporary evacuation covered:

  • Biedronka store,
  • Orlen station,
  • Intermarché,
  • Bricomarché,
  • „Relaks 1” Family Allotment Garden.

There is no need to evacuate residential buildings.

MZK – from 11:30, the bus routes no longer served the Gałczyńskiego Pętla and Gałczyńskiego ZEC stops .
