On Friday after 8 p.m., emergency services were notified by residents of the building who were concerned about the absence of one of their neighbors.

Firefighters entered the apartment, where the body of a man was found. Due to visible signs of death, medical procedures were not undertaken.

Carbon monoxide was also detected in the premises. The rooms were ventilated, and the apartment was handed over to the police.

Two PSP units from Bolesławiec, a medical rescue team and the police worked at the scene.

It is not yet known whether the death was caused by carbon monoxide poisoning. The police are determining the circumstances and causes of the incident.
