At the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre, participants will be able to appear in a film and learn about film-production techniques, watch theatrical and poetic performances, listen to concerts or learn to dance. BOK-MCC’s permanent programme includes art workshops for children. Kino Forum invites audiences to summer screenings of the Discussion Film Club.

Filming for the film “Anger”, produced by the BOK-MCC Film Education Workshop, will continue throughout July. Young people over 13 may take part. The workshops offer an opportunity to learn the secrets of film and television techniques as well as editing.

On Saturday, 2 July, the play “A Woman and a Man, or On the Birth of the Spirit” will be performed on the steps of Bolesławiec Town Hall. The performance tells a story about love and how it changes people’s lives.

Two concerts will take place on Sunday, 3 July. The “Poeticon” group will sing at 7:00 p.m. in the BOK-MCC conference room. At 8:00 p.m., the “Bolesławiec” Municipal Brass Band will perform in the Market Square with the programme “Muse and Summer Hits” (the second concert will be held on 14 August). Further concerts by “Poeticon” will take place on 29 July and 12 August. The group will perform in the Market Square with the concerts “Into Summer with Poetry” and “A Weekend with a Song”.

The five-day summer workshop “Break Dance for Children” will begin on Monday, 4 July. The instructor will be Paweł Klimek. Classes will take place in the BOK-MCC dance room.

“A Summer Adventure with Colour” is a free art workshop for children. The canvas-painting and cardboard-mosaic classes will take place on 5 July and from 18 to 22 August (an outdoor art workshop). The classes will be held in the square next to BOK-MCC.

On Tuesday, 12 July, the interdisciplinary outdoor art workshop “Boundless Fascination with Art Bolesławiec–Kamenz 2011” will begin. Twelve artists from the Polish-German border region will take part. Two happenings will accompany it—one in Kamenz and the other in Bolesławiec. The artists’ work will be presented at two exhibitions in September and October in Bolesławiec and Kamenz. After the workshop, a bilingual catalogue and a documentary film illustrating its course will also be produced.

The all-day event “Se-Ma-FOR Festival On Tour 2011– Summer Time Edition” will take place on 14 July. It will consist of two parts: free film screenings and the film-animation workshop “Film City Game”, as well as an exhibition.

Every Monday in July and August, Kino “Forum” invites audiences to screenings by the Discussion Film Club.

Two exhibitions will be organised at the BOK-MCC Gallery (15 July) and the Long Gallery (22 July). Visitors will be able to see ceramics by Marita, Jadwiga and Weronika Gajda, as well as Kamila Michoń’s postgraduate painting exhibition. Both exhibition openings will begin at 6:00 p.m.

The “Colours of the City” recycling initiative will begin in August. It will include classes in the ceramics and sculpture workshop as well as the glass and stained-glass workshop. Further sessions: 1 August, 22–26 August and 29 August.

The 47th International Ceramics and Sculpture Outdoor Workshop will run throughout August. Its official opening will take place on 5 August and will feature an exhibition opening of designer ceramics by Karina Marusińska (BOK-MCC Gallery, 6:00 p.m.). The workshop will conclude with the opening of an exhibition by Mirosław Kiciński (29 August).

The art workshop “Holidays with Collage Techniques” will be led by Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska. It will be four days of shared artistic fun in the art workshop (starting on 9 August, from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.).

Open flamenco dance workshops for young people will begin on 12 August in the BOK-MCC dance room. On Monday, 15 August, summer classes in HIP-HOP dancing will be held.

As part of the Bolesławiec Ceramics Festival, an exhibition opening by Kazimierz Kalkowski will be held at the Long Gallery (18 August, 6:00 p.m.).
