The BTS Willowa Bolesławiec volleyball team secured a decisive victory in the first semifinal match of the Lower Silesian Men’s First League. The match was played on Saturday, February 28, at the sports and entertainment hall in Sobótka. Bolesławiec defeated the hosts, SKSM KORFF Adrenalina Sobótka, in three sets, leaving their opponents with little chance.
The match ended 3–0 in favor of BTS Willowa Bolesławiec. The individual sets ended 25–15, 25–15 and 25–15. The entire match lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes, while the Bolesławiec team imposed its own pace from the outset and maintained a comfortable lead.
In the very first set, BTS quickly took the lead and steadily extended it, finishing the set with a clear ten-point advantage. The second set followed a similar course—the visitors scored effectively both in attack and from the service line, preventing the hosts from mounting an even contest. The third set repeated the same pattern, with the Bolesławiec team controlling the game from the first rallies to the final ball.
The BTS Willowa Bolesławiec team included, among others, Mateusz Świerzewski, Tomasz Kubera, Andrzej Kwapiński, Sławomir Janusz, Kamil Pasik, Patryk Strzelecki and Jakub Burnatowski. Kamil Szymoszek and Kamil Razik served as liberos.
Volleyball Sunday. BTS to play for the final and the second league
On Sunday, March 1, a semifinal match of the Lower Silesian Men’s First League will be held at the sports hall by Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec, between BTS Willowa Bolesławiec and the team from Sobótka. The match will begin at 6:00 p.m., with a place in the provincial final and participation in the playoff for promotion to the second league at stake.
The sporting excitement will begin much earlier, however. Already from 9:00 a.m. a mini-volleyball tournament organized by the Bolesławiec Volleyball Academy will be held in the same hall. The youngest players, including those from Bolesławiec and nearby towns, will take part in the competition.
The organizers are counting on a large turnout and support from the fans. The entire day is intended to have the character of a volleyball celebration—from the children’s first matches to the evening meeting of the senior players, who are fighting for promotion to the provincial final and a chance to play in the second league.
