This Saturday, February 28, at 6:00 p.m., BTS’s volleyball players will play the first semifinal match away against Sobótka. The return match is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, in Bolesławiec. The series is played until one team wins two matches—the winner advances to the provincial final and will also secure a place in the playoff tournament for promotion to the second division.

A match with a lot at stake

Sunday’s match could be crucial for the team’s future. If the Bolesławiec side win the first two matches, the series will end 2–0 and there will be no need to play a third match.

The BTS–Sobótka semifinal is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. in the sports hall in Bolesławiec.

Mini-volleyball tournament from 9:00 a.m.

That same day, from the morning onward, the sports hall at Primary School No. 1 in Bolesławiec (Jana Pawła II Street) will host a mini-volleyball tournament organized by Bolesławiecka Akademia Siatkówki.

The competition will begin at 9:00 a.m. and last until around 4:00 p.m. The program includes matches in singles format (one-on-one) and doubles (two-on-two). The youngest age groups are invited to participate—children born in 2015 and 2016, that is, seven-, eight- and nine-year-olds who are beginning their adventure with volleyball.

The organizers hope that young teams from nearby towns will also come to Bolesławiec, including teams from Jawor, Legnica and Wrocław. The aim is to create a “volleyball Sunday” during which the hall will be alive with sport all day.
