The match, played on Valentine’s Day, February 14, in Bolesławiec, went the hosts’ way from the start. The first set was the most even – the visitors kept pace, but the ending belonged to the home side, who won 27:25.
After winning the opening set, the Bolesławiec players began to play with greater confidence. They took the initiative at the start of the second set and gradually extended their lead, winning 25:16.
The third set followed a similar course. BTS maintained a lead of several points and did not allow their opponents back into the game. The set ultimately ended 25:17, giving the hosts a 3:0 victory in the match.
The match lasted 96 minutes and was watched by nearly one hundred spectators from the stands. Mateusz Świerzewski was named the match’s best player.
For Valentine’s Day, coffee as well as very good cakes and doughnuts were handed out in front of the hall.
