The Bolesławiec District Prosecutor’s Office is supervising the preparatory proceedings conducted by the Bolesławiec District Police Headquarters against a 20-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County suspected of assaulting his mother and causing bodily injuries lasting more than 7 days, as well as making criminal threats against her.
– As established, the suspect lived with his mother – explains Ewa Węglarowicz-Makowska from the Jelenia Góra Regional Prosecutor’s Office. – The victim and her son often argued. His mother resented the fact that he did not work, did not study, did not clean up after himself and abused alcohol.
On January 30, 2026, the man reacted aggressively to his mother’s remarks about keeping their home tidy. Spokesperson: – Using physical force, the perpetrator knocked the victim to the floor and then kicked her in the head and all over her body. When the woman tried to escape, he grabbed his mother and threw her onto the stairs, causing her to slide down onto the floor.
He also threatened to kill her. Investigators:
This, given his behavior, caused the victim to have a justified fear that the threats would be carried out.
At one point, the woman managed to escape to a neighbor and notify the police about the incident. As a result of the assault, she suffered extensive bodily injuries, including to her face, resulting in a health impairment lasting more than 7 days. She is currently in hospital.
After being brought to the Bolesławiec District Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect was presented with charges. He faces up to 5 years in prison
The man did not plead guilty to the alleged acts. He gave explanations. At the request of the Bolesławiec District Prosecutor, our court ordered the 20-year-old’s temporary detention for three months.
