Residents walking through the Planty noticed a metal fence installed around the salt graduation tower located by the Centrum Wiedzy in Bolesławiec. The fence raised questions about the facility’s future operation and the reasons for securing it.
As explained by Katarzyna Danilewicz of Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji Dolina Bobru sp. z o.o., the graduation tower is currently closed due to the winter technical break:
The salt graduation tower by the Centrum Wiedzy in Bolesławiec is closed due to the winter technical break, which, in accordance with the operating instructions, lasts from November 1 to April 30. We are making every effort to reduce this period to a minimum.
The fence was installed temporarily for safety reasons and to protect the facility’s components from interference by third parties during the technical break. Once the graduation tower resumes operation in spring, the fence will be removed.
