At the beginning of December this year, the District Court in Bolesławiec issued a judgment in the case of 60-year-old Grzegorz J., a resident of Bolesławiec County. The man was convicted of molesting two minors under the age of 15. What is absolutely horrifying is that one of the victims is the convicted man’s biological daughter, while the other is his stepdaughter, who is on the autism spectrum.

It was established that the man molested his daughter between 2002 and 2005. The offenses against his stepdaughter are a much more recent matter, dating from 2024. When proceedings began in that second case, the man’s now-adult daughter decided that the time had come for her father to answer for the acts he had committed against her.

What sentence did the court issue?

The court found J. guilty and sentenced him to six years in prison. (This is a combined sentence.) The man is also prohibited from approaching or contacting the victims. Among other things, he may not work in the education of minors.

The judgment is not final. The 60-year-old remains in pre-trial detention.

The convicted man had previously come into conflict with the law and had been convicted of property-related offenses.

Investigators informed us that the evidence does not indicate that there were more victims.
