On 10 November, Stanisław Zapiór died. A distinguished, longtime BKS Bolesławiec football player and coach, and more recently a loyal supporter of the club from Spółdzielcza.

BKS said goodbye to its coach and player with a moving post:

Today, a man who was the heart of our club throughout his entire life has left us. Stanisław Zapiór was not just a football player—he was the soul of BKS Bolesławiec.

His story is the story of our club:

  • 1970: He began his career at Śląsk Wrocław,
  • Then he played for Lotnik Wrocław,
  • 1978: He joined BKS,
  • The 1980s and early 1990s: Centre-back and team captain,
  • he played 427 matches in our colours.

Stanisław was more than a player. He was the captain, coach, club official and good spirit of the club. He supported BKS until the very end.

Our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones and everyone who loved him. May the memory of Stanisław remain forever in our hearts.
